With the domestic level three epidemic alert lasting for two months. In order to express support for our front-line medical staff and to help reduce the impact to local agriculture, legislator Huang Guo-Sho called on Wang Zhi-Liang, chairman of the Taichung Real Estate Development Association, Jim Chen, chairman of Chung Ming Textiles, and Zhang Hao-Yu, chairman of Yanlin Industry, and General Manager of Taifeng Refrigeration Li Ming-Ling and others to aid Taichung Hospitals. In total they donated 100 boxes of grapes, 100 pcs of cool feel towels and 100 sets of epidemic prevention kits to the central Taiwan, to aid the medical staff of Taichung Hospital and the ministry of Health and Welfare in their hard work during epidemic prevention.
Huang Guo-Sho said that since the outbreak of the epidemic in mid-May, it has turned into an endurance race. The hardest part of the process is the medical staff that has always been at the forefront to protect the health of the people furthermore the spread of the epidemic has greatly affected the sales of agricultural products. Thank you for supporting Taiwan's local fruit farmers, Huang Guo-Sho says he especially works with enterprises to attract more people to buy Taiwan's local high-quality agricultural products and support farmers through the pandemic in this time of difficulty.
Wang Zhi-Liang, chairman of the Greater Taichung Association, said that the medical staff across the country are the unsung heroes behind the epidemic prevention work. On the 21st, they brought freshly picked grapes from local fruit farmers in the central region. In addition to being sympathetic to the medical front line staff, they should also encourage everyone to take care of the local farmers. He said that after the outbreak of the epidemic, many local fruit farmers were affected and their products were hard to sell, the ripe grapes could not be sold and were left in the orchards rotting, which made it sad to see. We call on everyone to not only support the hard work of the medical staff, but also to not forget to take care of the vast number of local farmers we should support each other through this epidemic.
Jim Chen, chairman of Chung Ming Textiles, said that this donation of 100 boxes of grapes represents the company's love and gratitude to the medical staff for their hard work. The set of 100 cool towels is to hope that medical staff can face the challenges of hot summer with a "cool heart", and the group of 100 epidemic prevention kits which includes gloves, nano-membrane masks, isolation bedspreads, isolation pillow covers, etc., will protect family members living in isolation. Therefore, these donations represent the meaning of "medical care first, farmers first, and enterprises first".
On behalf of the recipients, Hou Cheng-Bo, director of Taichung Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Lin Shao-Wen, vice president, also thanked Huang Guo-Shu and his company for their support. Taichung Hospital will definitely stick to its responsibilities and guard the greater Taichung area. Please cooperate with epidemic prevention and work together to take care of Taiwan.
